The Muslim Identity: Who and What you Are

“Ye are the best community that hath been raised up for mankind. Ye enjoin right conduct and forbid indecency; and ye believe in Allah. And if the People of the Scripture had believed it had been better for them. Some of them are believers;... but most of them are evil livers. They will not harm you save a trifling hurt, and if they fight against you they will turn and flee. And afterward they will not be helped.” [Al Quran 3:110-111]

“O ye who believe! Observe your duty to Allah with right observance, and die not save as those who have surrendered (unto Him); And hold fast, all of you together, to the cable of Allah, and do not separate. And remember Allah's favour unto you: how ye were enemies and He made friendship between your hearts so that ye became as brothers by His grace; and (how) ye were upon the brink of an abyss of fire, and He did save you from it. Thus Allah maketh clear His revelations unto you, that haply ye may be guided, And there may spring from you a nation who invite to goodness, and enjoin right conduct and forbid indecency. Such are they who are successful. And be ye not as those who separated and disputed after the clear proofs had come unto them. For such there is an awful doom, On the day when (some) faces will be whitened and (some) faces will be blackened; and as for those whose faces have been blackened, it will be said unto them: Disbelieved ye after your (profession of) belief? Then taste the punishment for that ye disbelieved.” [Al Quran 3:102-106]

“We have written in the Scripture, after the Reminder: My righteous slaves will inherit the earth: Lo! there is a plain statement for folk who are devout.” [Al Quran 21:105-106]

“So fear not mankind, but fear Me (Allah). And barter not My revelations for a little gain. Whoso judgeth not by that which Allah hath revealed: such are disbelievers.”; “Whoso judgeth not by that which Allah hath revealed: such are wrong doers.”; “Whoso judgeth not by that which Allah hath revealed; such are evil livers.”; “And unto thee have We revealed the Scripture with the truth, confirming whatever Scripture was before it, and a watcher over it. So judge between them by that which Allah hath revealed, and follow not their desires away from the truth which hath come unto thee.”; “So judge between them by that which Allah hath revealed, and follow not their desires, but beware of them lest they seduce thee from some part of that which Allah hath revealed unto thee. And if they turn away, then know that Allah's will is to smite them for some sin of theirs. Lo! many of mankind are evil livers. Is it a judgment of the time of (pagan) ignorance that they are seeking? Who is better than Allah for judgment to a people who have certainty (in their belief)? O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. He among you who taketh them for friends is (one) of them. Lo! Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.” [Al Quran 5:44-51]

Say: That Allah is One! Allah, the eternally Besought of all! He begetteth not nor was begotten. And there is none comparable unto Him. [Al Quran 112:1-4

When Allah's succour and the triumph cometh, And thou seest mankind entering the religion of Allah in troops. Then hymn the praises of thy Lord, and seek forgiveness of Him. Lo! He is ever ready to show mercy. [Al Quran 110:1-3]

Say: O disbelievers! I worship not that which ye worship; Nor worship ye that which I worship. And I shall not worship that which ye worship. Nor will ye worship that which I worship. Unto you your religion, and unto me my religion. [Al Quran 109:1-6]
